There are lots of great gravel rides out there, but The Dirty Pizza is unique in all the right ways. As one well traveled cyclist put it, “One of the best rides I’ve ever done and certainly the BEST after party and food!” Long climbs beautiful scenery followed by a delicious wood fired pizza feast at the Breadworks Pavilion.

The Dirty Pizza is a 40 mile loop with a mix of dirt roads and unmaintained town roads (aka Class VI) and a few paved connections. There are big tough climbs, spectacular views and speedy backroad descents. The highpoint of the ride is the Lempster Mountain wind farm. The ride up to the impressive towers is a big challenge, but the reward is an exhilarating ridge top view, a fully stocked feed station at the base of an operating turbine and a thrilling descent down the other side.

In addition to the Dirty Pizza loop, we’ll have cue cards and maps for shorter rides that hit some of the big loop highlights. Single Slice, Double slice and Half Pie will challenge those looking to test their legs but not quite ready for the whole pizza. These shorter loops are not marked so be sure to get maps and orientation before heading out.

For skinny tire folks, the Clean Pizza takes you over much of the same beautiful terrain as the dirty, but sticks to mostly paved roads.
